Robust Tools Large Negative Rake Scraper – Unhandled

Our large negative rake scraper is made of premium Nitrided High Speed Steel and measures 1” across and 5/16 thick. The bottom edges are radiused so that you can tip it at an angle for even more effective cutting.

Sharpening just the bottom bevel maintains the nitriding on the top edge. Over time, you may eventually remove the top bevel and need to regrind it to maintain the negative rake. Just remember, there is premium heat treated high speeds steel under the nitriding, so you will still have a superior tool. 

The tang is rectangular but will fit the 5/8″ collet in either of our ER Collet based handle systems.
