About Us!

Although we haven't been using the name Cascadia for very long, we have a legacy that has served woodcrafters, luthiers, and artisans around the world for over 20 years. We have catered to the needs of Artisans everywhere with the highest quality tools, parts, machinery, and wood we can find.

Now, we continue to stick to that goal, but we've expanded our vision to continue providing you with the highest quality... well, everything! Tools, machinery, parts, hardware, finishes, glues, and so much more. We want to provide you with the best of everything you need to make the best project you want.

Most importantly, we are also you! We are luthiers, musicians, woodworkers, and craftspeople. We strive to provide you with the highest quality products, service, and advice, because that's exactly what we would expect if we were you.

Caleb Pennington - President

Caleb Pennington - President

Woodcraft Lover and Cat Dad

Easily identifiable by his trademark-pending mustache, Caleb has been a woodworker since grade school shop class. He has been a part of the woodworking and lutherie supply industry for many years, and more specifically with Cascadia's predecessors, "Bow River Specialty Woods" and "Wood to Works". He is the machinery and tooling go-to guy in Cascadia, with knowledge on CAD and CAM for CNC manufacturing, woodworking machinery and tooling.

Caleb is the head wood grader and tonewood expert in Cascadia. Trained in lutherie under Al Beardsell, he quickly fell in love with all the individual nuances and intricacies that come with woodworking and instrument building. He is proud to be helping artisans create their art, and helping new woodworkers gain confidence and inspiration in their work.

Darcy Clarke - CEO

Common Sense Officer and Guitar Guru

Darcy has been repairing musical instruments for several decades. However as many luthiers, aspiring musicians, and parents with kids still in the basement know, that doesn’t always pay the bills. So he ventured out into the corporate world, working on projects ranging from company startups to high level executive positions in high-precision automation companies over 35 years, while always keeping a guitar on the bench. Now, he has decided to step away from corporate life, bringing his knowledge and skills in both business and instruments, as well as his hearty and positive attitude, to Cascadia Lutherie Supply. He looks forward to combining his two most longstanding and fulfilling activities, creating meaningful and lasting projects, and working with musicians and luthiers again.
